“This was my father’s Gibson L-5,” says current owner Al Gareffa. He bought this guitar when he was 18 years of age and had John D’Angelico fit the guitar left handed. When he passed away in 1988 he left the L-5 to me. I had the guitar restored and made suitable for right handed playing by Mark Green who was recommend by Mandolin Brother’s of New York. It has a few old top and back cracks that were repaired many years ago.”
