Owner Jim Garber says “The restoration was done in the mid-1980s after I had acquired the guitar. I bought it with non-original hardware and the top had been stripped, so I had the top refinished. The rest of the finish is original as far as I know. The guitar, which came in a cheap vinyl gig bag, was acquired by a luthier I know from an old gentleman who walked in off the street.”
