Martin C-2

Introduced in 1931, the 15-inch wide Martin C-2 originally had a round soundhole, the first examples to feature f-holes appearing the following year. Though the C-2 incorporated a carved spruce top, the Brazilian rosewood back and sides were essentially those of a flattop guitar.

Details include the slotted diamond fingerboard inlays and a ‘zig-zag’ back strip found on Martin’s Style 28 instruments.
