Ted Andrews

Born in Toronto, Canada in 1907, Ted Andrews was a singer, guitarist and actor (he appeared in Goofer Trouble, 1940 and Wings And The Woman, 1942.

In 1943 Ted married pianist Barbara Andrews, mother of Julie Andrews (who assumed her stepfather’s name).

Ted often appeared with his wife and also accompanied Julie Andrews on some of her early 78 rpm recordings.

He died in Surrey, England in 1966 aged 58.
