Notes: This L-5 originally belonged to guitarist Les Paul

1931 GIBSON L-5 (dated as 1927 in Julien’s Auction catalogue).
It was auctioned together with an envelope inscribed ‘BWTRC Rhubarb Red 1927’ containing a truss rod cover that has been engraved with the legend ‘Rhubarb Red’ (this was Les Paul’s stage name at the time).
Sold at Julien’s Auctions Sale Of Property From The Estate Of Les Paul June 8th and 9th 2012 for $87,500.
