Neck/fingerboard: 20 fret fingerboard with pointed end and narrow block inlays from the first fret. 25.5 inch scale length
Body: 17-inch body with maple back and side and large bound f-holes. ‘1 ¼’ is written by hand on the inside label
Hardware: Gold-plated metal parts including Varitone tailpiece and Kluson Sealfast tuners with Catalin buttons. Has original bound pearloid pickguard
Notes: This guitar was shipped to ‘W Schmidt’ on 10th April 1940. Interestingly, according to the ledger records, it was originally shipped as an ‘L-5PN’. Gibson’s records also show that it was shipped a second time on 17th November 1942, this time to Lyon and Healy in Chicago. The guitar may have been refinished in Sunburst at this point
